RESTAURANTS: Beer Beach Comes to Coney Island
A new beach bar appropriately called Beer Island has opened in Coney Island. It's not exactly on the beach, but there is sand, so who cares. Set in the space that was once the mini golf course, a long list of beers can be enjoyed while lounging on white patio furniture. No food yet, but Nathan's is only a hop, skip and jump away. Whoever would rather a menu of substandard dogs and fried whatever is just lazy. It's run by the guy who does the "Shoot the Freak" attraction, so if you can't find the place, just ask him. See you at the beach!
