Amanda Bynes's 'Dear' collection
(Bynes greets fans at the Manhattan Mall )
There are few things that will get us to the Manhattan Mall at 10 a.m. We never thought that Amanda Bynes would be one of them. But there we were among the hordes of kids and teeny boppers waiting around the Steve & Barry's shop to catch a glimpse of the "Hairspray" star. According to dearbyamanda.com, Bynes was to officiate over her the launch of her new line Dear and sign autographs.
Tough luck for those who just wanted to shop. “We don't want to see her, we just want to shop!” shouted a disgruntled shopper. Her friend then yelled, "Give us Sarah Jessica Parker!"
(Dear on display)
When they finally let us inside, the Dear t-shirts, tunics, cardigans, hoodies, jeans and jammies were everywhere. As was the media, who videotaped shoppers as they went around the store, listening to Z100. Of course, it’s boring teenwear. But when designer threads can go for hundreds of dollars, it’s hard to put down fast-fashion celebrity collections that are actually affordable.
